I find the past few days I’ve been really tired and low on energy. I know this is part of the detox, but I can’t seem to find information on the duration of this detox part.

Any help will be greatly appriciated, thanks in advance.

well normally it takes about a week until the body get ready of the bad stuff, normally you have to take juices, vegies, natural food, no fried, home style food is the best, also until you body digest system starts working normally, you have to drink lots of water, flush the system. You start to feel the difference, and also depends on your system and how well you stick to the diet.

I hope may help you

If you are going to do it for a period of time to help flush out toxins from your body, it is great. We all need to eat more raw fruits and vegs. Do a lot of research and be sure you are balancing things well. Some common mistakes are eating WAY too many of the things that we like, usually avocados and nuts. And take it slow in the begining. Your digestion may need some extra time to digest hard, raw vegs. So at first don’t sit down to a huge plate of 10 different raw vegetables. Eat two at a time, about an hour apart. And chew your food really, really well.
There are great websites to help you with everything, and you will feel like a part of the raw food community in no time.

Low Carb?? Veggis and raw foods??? Low fat??? What plan is the best for quick weight loss?

ASHTANGA YOGA 3 times a week.

RUN 3-5 times a week (aim to get to 5k 5x a week).

SEX as often as possible.

Drink lots of water and salad before and after every meal.

Eat at scheduled times and don’t allow yourself to snack on anything other than raw veggies and low GI fruits.

Avoid sugary and fatty foods like the plague. You stop craving them after a while.

If you get hungary often, make your scheduled meals more frequent. Maybe every 3 to 4 hours if need be. Never let yourself get too hungry or overly full and be sure to make every meal a satisfying one.

Reduce portion size and pay attention to your bodys signals. Eat your meals slow and take breaks inbetwen bites. You should not have food in your mouth constantly. Stop eating before you start to feel full, and eat salad until you do.

Focus on becoming more healthy and nurishing your body, instead of just loosing weight.

Don’t eat anything 3 hours before bedtime. Eat your last meal about 5 hours before bedtime, and allow yourself a snack like an apple or yogurt or something a few hours before bed. Don’t go to bed hungry.

Go for your runs in the morning to get your metabolism going, and walk after every meal, even if it’s just for 20 – 30mins.

Make reasonable goals that you can achieve, track your progress, and find ways to stay motivated, if the visible results aren’t already enough.

Become aware of the many ways your healthy weightloss is affecting your life. Do you physically feel better? Are you more confident. Do you have more energy?

Try it with a friend, if you need help staying on track.

Most importantly enjoy what you’re doing and have fun!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

My friend and I have decided to go on a diet over the summer, she needs to loose 60 pounds, and i need to loose 40 pounds before school starts again( my last day of school was today)

My mom is a veggietarian, so i thought it would be simple to start the Raw Food Diet for the duration of summer, but my friend is a mega meat eater so it wouldnt work for her

any tips on fast fast fast weight loss for my friend?
Tips on self control with the raw food diet for me?
Anything better out there?

We have about 3 months, and we need to loose the weight fast!

please help, any information is helpful :]

I am also on a diet to lose 52 lbs. by the end of the summer. I began my diet exactly on April 14th in which my weight was 237 lbs. and as of today, May 15th, I am proud to say that I am 223 lbs (a total of 14 lbs in one month). I have 38 lbs. to go to reach my goal of 185 lbs. Now I know different people have different ways of losing but, I feel that you don’t have to spend money or starve yourself just to lose weight. My secret is easy, every morning I start off with a banana smoothie for breakfast (this consists of fresh banana, V8 tropical fusion, and ice blended); for lunch, I have a bowl of cereal (any type of Special K or Honey Nut Cheerios and skim milk); and lastly for dinner, I have a portion controlled meal (Weighwatchers Smart Ones, Lean Cuisine or similar). As for what I drink, no soda, any kind of green tea and water. I only eat wheat bread but, only on the weekends. Now I know that doesn’t sound like enough to curb your appetite but, if you eat healthy snacks throughout the day such as fruit, granola bars, yogurt, veggie sticks, etc., you should be fine. Also, I have the convenience of a gym at work so I work out three times a week for thirty minutes (15 min. on bike, 10 min. on eliptical, and 5 min. on leg weights or 100 reps). I also have an exercise ball at home so I make sure to do at least 600 crunches a week (200 a day for 3 days). Now for the weekends, you just have to be sure to stick to your healthy habits which like me is very hard especially if your out and about like I am. Just make sure that if you do eat out, you use portion control and stick to anything that isn’t fried! (ex. salad, wraps, subway, jamaican or hispanic cuisine which is usually boiled or baked, grilled, etc.) THE NUMBER ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IS ABSOLUTELY NO FRIED FOOD OF ANY KIND!!!!! IF YOU DO GET THAT CRAVING, MAKE SURE IT IS FRIED USING OLIVE OIL ONLY! Good luck and if you decide to take my advice, let me know how everything turns out.

Is it a good idea? Is it a good idea if you weight lift? Is it a good idea if you have only couple of kgs to lose and you want to lose them fast? And is it a good way to lose weight? Fat? Or is it just water? Anyone been on it?
Thank you in advance, you all!

Nope, absolutely not. Raw food contains more a higher probability of contaminants. A diet only works if the foods you are eating are good for you and you can get energy off of it. Just stick to the normal foods you know you should be eating. Make sure you subtract 500 calories if you are not exercising and don’t subtract if you are. If you cut too many calories your body will think it is starving and it will hold on to everything it can. That’s why people who go on these outrageous 1000 calorie starvation diets fail.

i heard some healthy males, can lose up to 10 pounds every week with light exercise(light jog, long walk ect..), is this possible?

I am quite a small boned person and even I lost quite a lot of weight when I started. I am 172 cm tall, female. When I started out I weighed 61 kg. In the first week I lost 0.5 kg every second day. That’s 3 pounds a week. Now I weigh just 55kg. Which is small for my height.

My husband and I are both obese and need to lose 80-100 pounds each. A friend recommended a raw food diet, where you eat as much as you want without having to cook. Does anyone know where I can get info on how to begin, any supplements/vitamins that would be necessary (or how to get everything our bodies need from this type of eating), without me having to order a book?

First of all DO NOT try to just switch to raw food! Please, you could hurt yourselves. i was a natural food coach for many years – there is such a thing as a TRANSITIONAL diet- you know from whatever you eating now – ease you body into the raw diet. if you are really want to do this then do it safely – i just checked online – i studied with a lovely woman named "ANN WIGMORE", before i answered your question i went online-she’s still in business! GREAT for you guys- go a head and put her name in your search bar and go! TONS of info. if you’re serious her program IS the best i have ever come across. and yes i was a raw food freak for about 5 yrs or more-i had asthma- i have it NO MORE-that was about 25 years ago- i’m still asthma free. when i started to have children my husband and i thought it would be best to ease back into a cooked veggie diet( we’ve been veggies for over 30 yrs & yes raised a family as veggies too. boys are over 6′ and daughter is beautiful and almost 6′ tall). the lady ANN WIGMORE is a wonderful person i’m very fortunate to have had her association. and would recommend her program to anyone trying to become a raw food type-be it for permanent or temporary she would be the best – Good luck hope this helps

It is true that after feeding on raw foods, it can cure skin allergy and other skin problems?

Yay! for your little Shih Tzu! As other have mentioned, raw doesn’t "cure" anything but it does make it less likely for some things to be a problem for your pup. You have a small dog, so expense is not going to be great no matter how you do this. I would start with one of the ground commercial products. My first choice (if you can find it) would be something that is either ground whole animals or just ground meat, bones and organs. Worry about any "extras" (supplements, veggies/fruits, whatever) later. I would start with one protein source for a couple of days (say, chicken), then add another new one every couple of days… your puppy is not old enough that introducing new foods should be a big deal… if he seems to have the runs or not do well with something, leave it out for a while and try it again later… most dogs can eat anything, but occasionally one thing or another doesn’t work very well for a particular animal. A good variety of different meats/bones/organs is healthiest, so that is what you will aim for. I would just switch him "cold turkey" but it ISN’T really a problem to combine kibble and raw initially (even in the same meal) if you choose to do that. He will probably eat about 10% of his own body weight for right now, divided into three or four meals a day (figure his weight in ounces or grams and then multiply by 0.1 to get the amount of food to start with)… like any other feeding style, his weight and condition will tell you when you are feeding properly. Understand that some vets and some friends do not "get" that this is the most natural, healthiest way to feed your dog… people may give you a hard time about your decision, but it is YOUR puppy and YOUR decision!
