@TheSHAY1806 everyone’s migraines last various amounts of time; it depends on how toxic people are. i find most people tell me they get them mostly in the first week or two of raw, and not so much after that, but thye can sneak up on you… stay strong!

  2. TheSHAY1806 — April 22, 2010 @ 4:28 pm

about the migranes how long will they stay because thats just one thing i can not deal with.

yeah im pretty sure the sore was a detox symptom because i drink way too many leafy green juices to be too acidic. i will definitely stop drinking also… i want to glow :) . thanks for the response :)

  5. RawHealingPatch — April 22, 2010 @ 6:22 pm

… cont’d… i know you already know this, but you gotta find a way to get off the booze, my friend. especially if you are juicing, etc… that stuff can be very hard on the intestinal and stomach lining, etc… in the meantime, you may want to combine some denser foods or breads to soak up the alcohol and keep juicing, etc… just my opinion, but juice and booze sounds lethal to me…. not sure what dan would say, you could ask him, too… he’s got a good background in detox as well :)

  6. RawHealingPatch — April 22, 2010 @ 7:04 pm

i am not sure if the sores are from too many lemons.. it could be a detox symptom of heavy acids coming out of your body… esp if you are still drinking. hard to say. if you are prone to cold sores, it may be that as well, as they tend to come out with dietary changes. as for the alcohol, no, i tend not to think this will be eliminated more quickly with raw food. i actually think fast greasy food tends to be better at absorbing all that alcohol than fruits and juices. so… cont’d…

  7. TangerineGroovin — April 22, 2010 @ 7:39 pm

ok ive been juicing and eating fruit. Im on dan the mans diet. BUT i still drink heavy alcohol. Will this be eliminated more quickly now that im raw? ive also experienced sores near my upper tooth. is this from too mant oranges and lemons? or is it a detox symptom

yeah, let me know… that is something i have not heard of (the pressure in the thrid eye is more common but the esophogus thing is different). if you have any sensations of throat closing or not breathing properly, see a health professional….i would not want an allergy to obstruct your throat, but i think that is not necessarily the case here. hmmmm…

  9. betthisonesfree — April 22, 2010 @ 8:24 pm

hey, thanks for the reply! I sure do hope it is only because of food, it is just really bad and I’ve never felt this before, it feels like this horrible, poisoness liquid is resignating around my esophogus, my throat becomes dry, I feel a horrible pressure on my third eye, and I have never ever experienced anything like this… but I have gone 100% raw for two days now, but the anxiety still is very much there… I will message you when it goes away, if it goes away.

nutrtional yeast is not living anymore. the only one that is raw and alive is the stuff you buy to make bread. it is a live culture that actively is transforming the bread. brewer’s yeast, or nutrional yeast (same thing) that you can eat is no longer living. it has been arrested (stopped) and no longer continues to ferment, or act upon anything it mixes with. raw foodists tend to use it even though it is not raw or alive. it is full of protein, fiber, and b vitamins :)

sometimes people do experience anxiety. this can be due to withdrawal from refined sugars, caffeine, etc… it can also bea general nervous energy buzz from all of the electrical energy you have from the dense minerals and perhaps it feels like anxiety? i recommend some exercise to burn off anxiety and also maybe some meditation, journaling to see when its happening most, and to just keep eating how you intuitively feel good :) hope that helps!

@RawHealingPatch — That’s okay, I think I can do a little search on it myself, you girls seem to be busy enough as it is. One question though– Is nutritional yeast raw? I was told it’s live but processed. Seems like an oxymoron, but hey ; )

hello! I just changed to the raw food diet but am experiencing severe, disturbing anxiety… do you know what’s up? Thanks!

  14. kcijmon — April 23, 2010 @ 12:06 am

Lately my diet has been all over the place, the last two weeks, but when I was just eating fruits throughout the day I was usually having something cooked for dinner like roasted broccoli. Or maybe a salad. I’m not sure. My diet is a little out of wack recently so I just need to get a handle on it before I can pinpoint but I will keep what you said in mind. I’m going to purchase your book and start all over again. My schedule has been messed up and I’m really needing guidance. Thanks so much.

  15. RawHealingPatch — April 23, 2010 @ 12:12 am

    thanks! edema is a big one… :)

we did hear from kylie… thank you :)

  16. RawHealingPatch — April 23, 2010 @ 12:57 am

are you eating large amounts of fat from nuts or salad oils , etc.. in the evening? if so, this could definitely account for the fatigue in the day after the fruit. fat stays in the blood stream for at least a full 24 hours or more… so… that might be it. you may also have adrenal/thyroid fatigue. previous caffeine use? coffee? red bulls, etc… ? that can do it. anyway, yes, read the book and if the library does not have it, we have it in our amazon store on our website for a decent price :)

we got the jingle from a free music share site.. sarah said if you need to know, she can look into it to find out the artists, but we do not know off hand. i know… it’s fun, eh? we loved it! let us know if you need more specifics :)

oh girl thank you so much for this it really helped me alot it was me who asked that is great im so blessed that you did it!!! bless you both!

  20. MyOwnStickFigure — April 23, 2010 @ 3:09 am

It was Kylie aka Spekgirl1 — I remember her asking me and I gave her a run down but told her you could give her a complete profile. I mentioned pretty much everything you said but did not bring allergies into factor — so smart of you!!! One thing I forgot to mention for me is EDEMA, big time during detox. Mine gets to a literal severe point with swelling, bruising and bad pitting. I will mention upfront though that’s when I have a bad bulimic episode & my body holds fluids/toxins till detox

  21. skylar2319 — April 23, 2010 @ 4:04 am

Hey Julie, Who wrote the raw healing patch music jingle? It’s awesome! Great vid, as always : )

  22. RawHealingPatch — April 23, 2010 @ 4:04 am

    hey johnny-
thanks for sending to your friend.. i am not sure who requested it, i forgot. so thanks! :) and also great detox stuff you added…yes, these are very common. there is not much i haven’t heard of when it comes to detox. people can feel nearly everything! thx xo

  23. RawHealingPatch — April 23, 2010 @ 4:17 am

yes, constipation can initially occur as toxin builds in the intestines and has trouble getting out. but after a while it should pass :)

  24. MyOwnStickFigure — April 23, 2010 @ 4:49 am

continued – digestive fire… loose stools… Anyhow, thank you also for the book recommendation!

  25. MyOwnStickFigure — April 23, 2010 @ 5:11 am

Hi Julie, I remember telling my friend to request this and don’t see her in the comments so I’m going to send it to her to see it. I also saved to favorites for others to come see this. Great topic, great info. As for me, I never went through any heavy detox and when I am mildly detoxing through herbs or cilantro – my symptoms are nausesness – spelling????- as the toxins are storing for excretion and making their way to go back out. So – headache, feelings of vomit, tummy rumbles, depression, etc
