If you’re going to adapt to a 100% raw food diet, then you will not be able to consume rice. If you choose to eat lets say a 70% raw food diet, then you may consume rice. I believe that we have to decide what works best for us individually.

Also, it would be helpful to look at food combining. Some foods are not meant to be eaten together. Strawberries should be eaten with bananas, typically. Also melons shouldn’t be eaten with citrus, according to some wholistic health gurus. Some foods can’t be digested together in your stomach, but this is a great video!

    This is a good …
This is a good video but I would suggest adding in superfoods as well because they tend to fill in the nutritional gaps better than just carrots and celery. And, they taste much better which is very important. We do need sugar. Read into the sugars that heal concept. Just as in healing fats. These are important things to think about. We need certain nutrients that are provided in abundance by superfoods that typical vegetation cannot provide like amino acids, minerals and healing fats and sugars

Thank you! I have been a Vegetarian for almost 4 yrs. but not a very healthy one..so I have been looking into Raw Veganism..I won’t eat fish anymore..but you really helped me figure out how to get started..I was really confused..and thought I would have to spend a fortune stocking up at the grocery store..but starting slow I think is the key..and like some books I’ve read I don’t need to know how to grow sprouts or spend a lot of dough on a dehydrator to start..Thanks!

    If you have a …
If you have a dehydrator you can replicate some popular meat based finger foods. Currently, I am also transitioning. Allow your self and your body time to get adjusted to a new way of eating. When you are ready, you’ll give up meat and be 100% raw. Another that might help is a book called Skinny . It sheds light on the meat industry. Once you read it, you might not want meat ever again.

    I just got over a …
I just got over a weekend of eating what I wanted. I know that’s not the best thing to do, but I say give in and eat what you’d like, but DO NOT continue to eat those foods. Get it out of your system. If you know you’ll revert and not continue on raw, I suggest you find raw meals that will replace those cravings and are similar to what it is that you desire. I know you cannot replace meat, but I’ve seen some recipes that are close.

what do you do to get over the two or three week hump? you know that time into the change when you get extreme urges to eat meat or a steak? I go crazy and break it. I become an crazed animal. thank you for this.
