Sometimes in comes in this form: “How do I gain weight on the raw food diet?”
Other times it’s: “Help, I’m loosing weight too fast and I need help!”
Not that bad of an issue to have, but for some this means loosing muscle mass as well (I know, it happened to me).

Most energy comes from carbonhydrates, you build muscle on that. Not just protein.
Building muscle on hamburgers sounds like a very bad idea.
Look up some vegan weight lifters, they are doing amazingly well.
Vegans do need to take some supplements, like B12. Otherwise everything can be found plant based.

You will definitely loose weight on a raw food diet. I just wouldn’t eat too many fruits, focus on lots of vegetables and fruits in moderation. You will loose weight guaranteed. Also go easy on the nuts. Definitely eat nuts and avocados. Avocados will actually cause you to loose weight even though they are high in fat….it’s the good kind. Good luck!

There was a study I heard about a few months ago on The BBC that concluded detox diets don’t work. They’re just hype.
For gaining muscle, you MUST lift iron and work against gravity. The most energy dense foods are grass fed beef and liver.
It’s cool that vegans don’t want animals to die for their meals, but nutritionally it doesn’t work. Vitamin A and cholesterol only come from animals. And plants just can’t match the energy density of hamburger.

losing is no longer my problem. it’s gaining. dislike people saying, “you can eat however much you want of raw vegan foods and not worry!” wrong. ran into severe health problems doing that with raw vegan dishes. now, have been eating just fruits, greens, vegetables, and seaweed and i’m gaining weight…not satiated on this diet and eating too many calories? body’s become more efficient???
