I just got my copy of The Complete Book of raw foods and I love it already! I am new to raw food movement, but very interested in it. I looked around for a book that could help, but also intimidating and this one definitely caught my attention! In the beginning there are explanations about different forms of preparation and things you should know about being vegan raw if they so choose. Very, very informative and does not come from a place of trial, if that makes sense. The recipes have different skill levels which is great for a beginner like me! In general, I have a feeling this book will have much use in my kitchen!

I recently bought the second edition new after repeatedly checking out the first edition of the library. I am very disappointed because the index is inaccurate, with errors such as: “Portobello mushrooms, marinated and stuffed” as shown on page 113, but the soups are on that page. Cheeses listed as a starting point on page 187, but they are biscuits on that page. And I’ve never found the recipe for “Parmesan”. To make matters worse, after only look through the book 3 or 4 times, marriage is crumbling. They used recycled materials is great, but is of low quality. I paid for a book that I can not take full advantage. I E-mail the company about it, but have not received a response. I think it must replace its defective product to the customer’s request. We do not recommend the purchase of this second edition.

This was the second book I bought to provide an introduction to raw food preparation. I like the book because it was easy and quick to read. Not only that, always a good basic explanation about what tools and equipment used in the preparation of raw foods and how to use them. offerred advice too. He has lots of recipes that are not too intrusive. I’m glad I bought the book and save it as a good referance.

I think I have an older copy since the index was wrong. Page numbers are out on some things and some recipes that refers not exist. I saw another specimen that had a white cover and it was correct. There are no photos in any book.
